To start exploring which AI writing assistant works best, I decided to test 4 of the most well-known; Jasper.AI, Rytr.me, Wordtune and ChatGPT.
I've based the test on User-friendliness, Functionality, and Creativity Enhancement:

Like with all AI, minor bugs and errors might occur - so keep a close eye.

It is especially good for spelling checks and cross-language translation. However, there's room for improvement in its summary function and in-depth rephrasing capabilities.
Creativity enhancement:
Wordtune helps make writing more creative and engaging by giving suggestions and adding variety to the text. It also inspires you to be creative by letting you try out different writing styles, so you can unleash your imagination.

ChatGPT is a simple dialogue-based interface. There’s no learning curve involved for new users, allowing for an immediate start. ChatGPT offers accessibility across devices and easy integration with software due to its simple API.
Functionality:
ChatGtP is an fun and engaging tool to use, however it is lacking some formatting and editing features. Its great for generating ideas, translating languages and summarizing texts. For more complex writing tasks, it may be better suited as a supplement rather than the main tool.
Creativity enhancement:
ChatGPT is like having an inspiring writing buddy to brainstorm with, making writing fun and easy. It is a great tool for overcoming writer's block and getting inspiration. Although, it doesn't offer the range of features and templates as other tools do.
Wrapping up
Overall, Jasper.ai is a user-friendly platform for both beginners and experienced AI users and a great tool for text processing. The only negative thing I can say about Jasper is the price. The paid plans can be quite expensive, especially for small businesses or individuals. However, the features and ease of use make it worth considering as a long-term investment in your writing process.
Rytr.me is a versatile content generation tool offering customizable templates and prompts to quickly create various types of content. The very simple interface, the monthly character limit and some other limitations lowers the rating a bit. Despite these limitations, Rytr is a great option when wanting to efficiently generate innovative content.
Wordtune is a great writing enhancement tool that offers a range of options for refining writing. It makes content clearer and easier to understand, while also saving time on editing. The only downside is the daily limit that comes with the free version, but this is much more generous than the monthly limit Rytr provides.
ChatGPT is a user-friendly tool excellent for generating ideas and casual writing tasks. However, it may not be the most comprehensive tool for professional or advanced writing needs. Despite its simplicity, it provides versatility and adaptability, enabling natural language conversations and assistance on various topics.
Choosing the right AI writing tool depends largely on your specific needs. The answer to what the best tool is for you depends on whether you want to generate content, refine your prose, or seek inspiration. But if I could only choose one tool I would recommend, It would be Jasper.AI. Jasper's performance is close to flawless and works great at executing all the various tasks.
